Twenty full-time analysts and a commitment to ramp up | Evolved to provide support across all the client’s offices

Business Need

  • A UK-based analytics consulting firm had experienced robust growth; however, due to scale constraints, it was struggling to meet its delivery requirements.
  • It wanted to set up an optimal workforce model that would allow for robust delivery without diluting the focus on growth, such that it could focus on business development, client engagement and on-site consulting while still having the flexibility to scale the delivery team up or down as the situation demanded.

To set up an optimal workforce model that enables robust delivery without diluting the focus on growth.

The client outlined two key reasons for selecting RocSearch:

  • Our ability to help the client achieve robust delivery without diluting the focus on growth.
  • Our extensive experience in building GCCs from scratch.

Approach and Methodology

  • After several brainstorming sessions with the client’s management team, we adopted a Hub-and-Spoke delivery model where a highly customised dedicated team was recruited and established as a Hub delivery centre to service the client’s offices across geographies.

The engagement started with twenty full-time analysts and a commitment to ramp up over a 12-month period. We set up a team comprising a broad spectrum of capabilities, including decision scientists, statisticians and business intelligence analysts.

GCC
  • The engagement started with the team supporting the client’s UK office and evolved to provide support across all its offices, including the US, Australia, Singapore and South Africa.
  • Impressed with our approach & methodology, efficiency, process automation and quality of work delivered, the client engaged additional resources on secondment at its onshore locations to provide front-end consulting support.

Business Outcomes

  • Adopting a mixed workforce model allows scaling up, pursuing growth across geographies, reducing costs and improving operational efficiency and margins.
  • Replacing the ad hoc delivery system with mature processes significantly improves quality.
  • Providing data-driven insights enables quicker, more informed strategic decisions and targeted, compelling business development discussions.
