RocSearch is a personalised service provider. We provide customized research, assistance and information services. To enable us to provide the services, we request users to provide us with some personal information and preferences.

1. Range of Information

During the registration process, we request that you provide some basic information about yourself such as your name, country, address, time zone, e-mail address, birthday, gender, occupation, marital status and areas of interest. We accept payments by credit card, and you will be requested to provide your credit card information. In order to improve the quality of our services and to provide personalised responses, you may also be asked to provide some information about your preferences, e.g., shopping preferences, travel preferences and entertainment preferences. RocSearch may use "cookies" to identify you when you visit the RocSearch site and to build up a demographic profile. A cookie is a small piece of information sent by a web server to a web browser, which enables the server to collect information back from the browser. Our use of cookies also allows registered users to be presented with a personalised version of the site. When you contact us for customer support through live chat or otherwise, we shall keep a record of such interactions in order to monitor the quality of customer service rendered by our staff and to be able to serve you better.

When you register with RocSearch, the information collected is stored by RocSearch. 3. Password

Please note that when you register with us, you will be asked to choose a username and password, which must be kept confidential. RocSearch will never ask for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited e-mail. You are responsible for any loss, damage or liabilities arising from use of a username/password whether authorised or not and whether or not we have been informed of any unauthorised use.

4. Security of Information

Whenever RocSearch handles personal information, it takes steps to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Statement. All credit card and other personal information entered by you on the payment page is encrypted immediately using the 128-bit digital certificate encryption technology of Verisign. We also secure your credit card information using the secure, encryption algorithms which are not known to any of our staff.

However, we cannot be held responsible for any loss, liability or damages incurred from any breaches of security.

5. Request to Delete Data

If you wish for RocSearch to delete your data from the database, you may send an e-mail to us and write 'Delete Data' as the subject heading. However, residual information may remain within our archives.

6. Suggestions to Members to Maintain Security

Please remember to log off from your account and close your browser window after finishing your use of the site or if you have go away from your PC for any period of time. This is to ensure that others cannot gain access to your personal account/information in case you are sharing a computer or using a computer in a public place. You are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your password and any account information. We advise you to be careful and responsible whenever you are online. Please keep in mind that any personal information that you voluntarily disclose online - for example on message boards, through e-mails, or in chat areas, can be collected and used by others and you might receive unsolicited messages from others. In case you suspect that the confidentiality of your password has been violated, please change your password immediately and inform us immediately so that we may take steps to secure your account. As an added security measure, we advise you to use a mix of alphabetic and numeric characters as passwords and not to use any dictionary words/common nouns or easily guessable words, such as your name, house number, etc.

8. RocSearch Anti-spam Statement

RocSearch does not endorse or utilize SPAM emails. Our newsletter “The Research Insider” has been launched to provide information on global industries and trends in the outsourcing domain. If you receive our newsletter, either you, or someone you know has subscribed via www.rocsearch.com, or you have been classified as a privileged client. Every newsletter sent, has an Unsubscribe link giving you the option to opt out of our mailing list at any time.
