His early vendor career spanned roles as Sales Director and Managing Director of US based software firm Candle Corporation, a spell of 5 years running his own Sourcing Advisory Consultancy in the UK before joining Siemens Business Services, where he enjoyed a number of years selling multi-hundred million dollar transformational outsourcing deals. David held a leadership position and was recognized and awarded for developing pioneering business models.
From Siemens, David moved on to run the outsourcing arm of Unisys in EMEA. One of his roles there was CEO of the US$ 1 Billion joint venture BPO company iPSL, co-owned by Barclays Bank, LTSB Bank and Unisys.
In 2001, David was asked to join Accenture as a senior partner on a global basis focusing upon large scale transformational change programs. For a period of 5 years, David continued to travel extensively, advising, coaching and leading teams in pursuit of some of the world's most challenging outsourcing deals. David became a regular faculty member at Accenture, teaching executives the art of advance negotiation. David has specialization in advanced conflict management and negotiation techniques, skills he deployed into a specific Centre of Excellence at Accenture. He was a founder of Collaborative Elements, a specialist coaching and advisory firm in the UK, helping firms manage internal and external conflict effectively.
In business development roles, David was directly responsible for acquiring over US$ 5 Billion of new business, and more in advisory and coaching roles. David is a strong advocate for offshore services - where access to talent, skills and work ethics clearly compliment the obvious labor arbitrage benefits.
David cites his successes insofar as personal achievements being his ability to nurture talent, to mentor and create an environment for people to grow, explore new skills and undertake roles in an environment that is supportive. His values are heavily biased towards respect for the individual, being principled, fairness and teamwork.
